1. What is so different about Periwinkle Patch's Body & Bath products?
Here at Periwinkle Patch, we hand-make our products especially for you from our little home! We do not mass produce. Our recipes are original and we do not use pre-made lotion bases. Instead, each product was birthed following heaps of R&D, testing, formulating and tweaking. All our products are used personally, so we insist on making goodies that are only safe and gentle on pregnant bellies and babies. We also only sell products that we sincerely love to use everyday!Furthermore, we use only super veggie oils. We do not use mineral oil (about 90% of commercial Facial, Body & Bath products use petroleum oil) or animal fat (e.g. lanolin) because we believe that the veggie oils we use have a lot of extra "goodies" to offer our skin! We take pride in the ingredients we use.

2. At the end of 2007, you "closed" Periwinkle Patch. Why did you do so?
In response to the changing demands of being a mom-of-2, Jolene has decided to scale back on the number of responsibilities in order to focus on her first calling as a wife and mom.


3. Why are all your lotions, creams and butters just whitish/yellowish and not coloured (e.g. wouldn't Island Mango Honey Body Butter be nicer in orange?)?
This is because we do not use cosmetic grade colouring in our products. We are trying to keep everything as natural as possible, however, if more people request for coloured products, we might consider introducing this in future.

4. I have very sensitive skin. Can I use your products?
We're afraid we cannot be held responsible if your skin reacts to the ingredients used. Allergies are numerous and there are too many skin conditions out there. However, please rest assured that all our products are tested by a group of stringent testers before they are available for sale publicly. We encourage all customers to always check the ingredients used (all products come fully labelled), and to stop usage if you notice any skin irritation. At the same time, do contact us because we thrive on feedback!

5. Why aren't your products dirt cheap?
We believe that our prices are very reasonable and affordable for the quantity received. We only use quality ingredients (some of which are imported) and the start-up cost for a small home-based business is high.

6. How do I make complaints or suggestions?
If you have any comments, feedback or cool ideas for us to work on, please do not hesitate to contact us.

7.Why is there a warning on the label of your products?
Our products carry this warning: "The safety of this product has not been determined". The regulations governing the sale of cosmetics and related products in Malaysia require such products to undergo extensive clinical and chemical testing. Alternatively, these products must carry the abovementioned warning. However, we are confident that our products are safe when used under normal conditions.

8. After sampling/purchasing your products, I've decided I do not like it. However, I know you personally and feel bad if I don't support Periwinkle Patch. What should I do?
We recognise that all of us have our very own unique taste in body & bath products, and hope that none of our friends feel obligated or pressured to purchase from us! We have created our formulas based on our personal likes and dislikes, and whilst we are thrilled when people rave about our products we are completely comfortable with customers buying other brands which may be better, cheaper and more suitable for them. In addition, though we strongly encourage feedback here at Periwinkle Patch and try as much as possible to be accommodating to each person's special request, we do not promise to alter our products to suit individual customer needs.
